A crowd of more than 1,000 welcomed P.S.R.’s return as an in-person event by enthusiastically diving into breakout sessions, workshops, training, and networking activities. As always at P.S.R., the focus was on the intersection of privacy and technology, with sessions focused on adtech, artificial intelligence, big data, cybersecurity and more. Keynote panels discussed the prospects for a federal privacy law in the U.S. In her keynote address, speaker documentary film maker Shalini Kantayya described her work exposing the bias in machine learning. Keynote speaker Rebecca Kelly Slaughter, Commissioner, U.S. Federal Trade Commission, discussed threats arising in the digital space and potential government response.
