Security of IT Products using Common Criteria standards
As you may be aware that India is an “Authorizing Nation” under Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA) to test and certify Electronics and IT products with respect to cyber security. Such recognition is also held by countries like USA, UK, Germany, Japan, among others. Standardisation, Testing and Quality Certification (STQC), a Directorate of Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), is operating Indian CC (Common Criteria) Certification scheme. To create awareness on common criteria evaluation scheme, STQC is conducting a workshop in Pune on “Security of IT Products using Common Criteria standards”. This workshop will cover background and global scenario, details on CC Evaluation using protection profiles, industry expectation in product security evaluation, protection profile and security target and briefing on common criteria certification process.
