IAPP Global Privacy Summit 2022
IAPP’s best Summit yet kicked off a night early on Monday, April 11 with an Opening General Session featuring bestselling author Malcolm Gladwell; Amy Gajda, author of “Seek and Hide” and Chair of the Federal Trade Commission, Lina M. Khan in her first public address. The next day’s general session made national news when Apple’s CEO Tim Cook took the stage to discuss why “protecting privacy is one of the most essential battles of our time.” His headline keynote address was followed by Zahra Mosawi, the former Commissioner of Access to Information Commission of Afghanistan. Mosawi spoke about her experience working to establish freedom of expression and information rights for the Afghan people. European Commissioner of Justice Didier Reynders finished the morning’s session discussing his work promoting Europe’s fundamental right to personal data protection in his pre-recorded address.
