Untangle 101: Safeguarding K-12 Networks against Cyber Attacks with NG Firewall

Online assessments, web-based learning tools, and mobile devices are driving the future of K-12 education. Network Administrators have tried costly network upgrades to increase network security, but resource limitations continue to make this an uphill battle. In 2019 alone, we saw an increase in ransomware attacks on school districts, impacting 15 school districts, over 500 schools, and thousands of students. However, there are steps network administrators can take now to reinforce already established security policies and address current vulnerabilities before hackers notice them.
