Wallingford school suffered a data breach compromising students’ personal information due to a third-party vendor security breach.
The security breach affected a tool that the school district previously used to track student reading and math assessments.

“Beginning immediately after discovery, Pearson launched an incident review by outside cybersecurity experts who determined the nature and extent of any data potentially affected. Pearson has received no evidence to indicate that there has been any misuse of (student) information,” Danielle Bellizzi, Assistant School Superintendent said in an email notification, myrecordjournal reported.
