Cybercriminals continue to pose additional security challenges while the healthcare sector is reeling under the ongoing pandemic. Two construction firms playing an important role in COVID-19 response, Interserve and Bam Construct, were hit in a recent cyberattack. In other news, Magellan Health Inc. revealed that it suffered a ransomware attack last month wherein hackers siphoned off its corporate data. Interserve and Bam Construct, construction firms that helped build emergency coronavirus hospitals, suffered cyberattacks that led to a shutdown of their websites and IT systems. The hackers are suspected to have stolen over 100,000 employees' information from Interserve.

Magellan Health Inc, a Fortune 500 company, disclosed identity theft in a ransomware attack from one of its corporate servers in the last month.

The hackers behind the Nefilim ransomware claimed to have stolen over 800 GB of personnel and financial data from the oil and gas firm, W&T Offshore Inc.
