Sharp HealthCare, San Diego’s largest health provider, announced Monday that it has begun notifying 62,777 of its patients that some of their personal information was compromised during an attack on the computers that run its website, sharp.com.

“By adding this service to our website, in partnership with the Identity Theft Resource Center, we are providing real-time support to would-be victims of identity theft,” District Attorney Summer Stephan said in a news release.

Scripps Health announced that it has begun notifying nearly 150,000 individuals that their personal information was stolen by hackers during the ransomware attack on May 1.
